On Monday, July 10, 2023, Forever Family and Action News Jax highlighted Family Support Services partner Center of Hope and their community-focused service in 32209. As Jada Hunter, Executive Director for Community Reinvestment explains, the Center of Hope “is a parent resource hub specifically for 32209″ where families can receive connection to needed services and support from both the Center staff and their community. The featured client shared that the Center of Hope feels “like a family” — Center of Hope “not only [helps] people physically but [helps] people to love themselves and see the respect that they deserve.”

The Center of Hope’s priority areas were crafted with direct input from the residents of 32209 — “they’re the experts because they’re the ones who have lived experience,” Hunter explains. These priority areas, which include action areas like ‘community togetherness’ and ‘healthy living,’ help inform the Center’s events, such as their Parent Cafes, Hope and Healing and other outreach.
