(May 1, 2023) — May is National Foster Care Month, and we could not let the immeasurable impact our licensed foster families make on our community go unnoticed. Family Support Services is proud to share a list of businesses across Duval and Nassau counties that are partnering with FSS from May 1-31, 2023 — National Foster Care Month — to provide freebies and discounts for you and your family, as a way to say “thank you” for your incredible work supporting children and families.
In order to receive these benefits, active licensed foster parents will need to show your special Family Support Services Foster Parent card (pictured here) at participating businesses. Watch your mailbox — you’ll be receiving your card, a letter of gratitude from FSS and a complete list of participating businesses and discounts any moment! These partners are listed below and the list may be updated throughout the month, so check back often.
We want you to know how vital you are to our system of care and that we cannot do what we do every day without you. Thank you for opening your hearts and homes to our children of all ages and for helping them persevere through tough times and trauma. Thank you for being joyful with them when progress is made and for celebrating their victories!
